Inspired by the Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga traditions, the style of yoga I teach blends a notion of where we are in space (alignment, roots) and how we flow into it (with gentle poses/movements). Incorporating some more vigorous poses to help nurture mindfulness and strength. These are “All levels” yoga classes. I do not teach contorsions nor headstands. We don’t need to already be flexible to do it. We will even learn how to say some yoga poses in both French and Sanskrit, just for fun! No prior experience needed. Wednesday classes are by donation and Thursday classes are $15/class ($80/6 classes).

Yoga has been a part of Gisèle’s life since her first introduction to it by her Oriental Philosophy teacher in the late 1980’s. She then started to practice on her own, until around 1998, when she found great teachers to study with. Among them, Hart Lazer, Katherine Kaufman, Mado St-Cyr and Lyne St-Roch, to name a few. A perfect blend of Iyengar and Ashtanga teachers!
Gisèle has more than 500 hours of Yoga Teacher Training, in Canada and USA. She has lived and practiced both at Kripalu MA and Shambhala Mountain Center in Colorado.
Born in a small town near Montréal QC Canada, Gisèle moved to Vermont in 2010 to get married and start a family. She is currently enrolled in the 300 hour Laughing River Yoga Teacher Training.
